Career Expo is a non-profit, voluntary community effort, which began six years ago, to be held annually and jointly organized by the Government and private sector, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Labour. In 2007 it was agreed upon among the concerned parties to move the responsibility of the Career Expo events to be under the umbrella of the National Society for Support of Education & Training (NSSET) with the key support of Ministry of Labour. The National Society for the Support of Education & Training (NSSET) was established and officially incorporated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in 2002. 

Career Expo targets national secondary school students, vocational students, jobseekers, parents and the community. Career Expo aims to increase awareness of Bahraini students and jobseekers in understanding the work environments and professional world. Career Expo facilitates the job search process; promotes careers in various fields; provides information on different occupations, education and vocational training necessary to enter them; training and career development required; professional skills and abilities; and employer expectations. Thereby, enhancing job prospects and producing a more productive Bahraini workforce.

Numerous and well organized career guidance activities, workshops, seminars, forums targeting students and jobseekers, are carried out during the year leading to the Career Expo events, which is usually held in October.
The CE Steering Committee members who have volunteered their efforts to organize this annual event are from different entities, mainly representing the Ministry of Labour, Labour Fund, Ministry of Education, Bahrain Training Institute, Specific Council for Occupational Training and NSSET.


Introduction:
The National Society for the support of Education and Training was established and officially incorporated by the Ministry of labour and Social Affairs on 2nd December 2002.

Main objectives:
1- Contribute to the socio-education stablity in the Kindgom of Bahrain.
2- Explore various methods and techniques that aid in supporting education and training.
3- Activate the role of the society in the education and training field.
4- Enhance the public's awareness with regards to the importance of theircontribution towards the support of education and training.
5- Encourage social organizations to cooperate and take an active role in the support of education and training.

Society Main Activities:
1- Preparing job seekers for entry into the job market.
2- Organizing conferences and exhibitions related to education and training.
3- Organizing lectures and technical visits for its members.
4- Organizing seminars and workshops on education and training matters.
5- Providing financial aids to students from low income families to enable them to continue their higher education related to the requirement of labour market specializations.
6- Conducting forums aiming to exchange of knowledge and experience related to education and training.
7- Providing training programs for civil society organizations to support the development their management capabilities.
